Physicists call the phenomenon entropy. Historians observe it clearly in the collapse of empires. Economists understand it as a gradual decline into disorder in capital markets. I use the term in reference to the increasing levels of societal turmoil. We are all talking about the same thing. It means that nothing in this universe endures.
